Prof. Marti leitet die Forschungsgruppe in der Abteilung für Allgemeine Thoraxchirurgie am Inselspital. Zudem ist er Leiter des Programms Oncology Thoracic Malignancies (OTM) und Mitglied des Vorstands des Departments for BioMedical Research (DBMR) der Universität Bern. Seine Forschungsgruppe beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, wie zelluläre und metabolische Plastizität zur Tumorentstehung, Therapieresistenz und Metastasierung beiträgt.

Prof. Marti also serves as Head of the Oncology Thoracic Malignancies (OTM) program and is a member of the Board of Directors at the Department for BioMedical Research (DBMR) at the University of Bern. His laboratory investigates how cellular and metabolic plasticity drive tumor initiation, therapy resistance, and metastasis
